Step inside a 200-year-old farmhouse – a beautiful place to stay and relax, all year round.
Out and about
The perfect location to discover the ‘white villages’ of Las Alpujarras, Granada and the beaches of the Costa Tropical

Walks from the house
Whether it’s a gentle stroll or something more challenging, you can head off straight from the gate.
The route of the 1000-year olive trees to Órgiva, a 3-hour hike to Lanjarón and a walk along the Rio Guadalfeo are all favourites. Maps (and hats!) are provided.

Órgiva
Órgiva is a 20-minute walk and bursts with bars and shops, including a fishmonger and an organic food place.
Pick up produce at Thursday’s market or enjoy a meal at the several good eateries. We offer recommendations for the best tapa and food in town.

The white villages
Stunning views, a chocolate factory, hikes, jamón and home-spun rugs – it’s a short drive (or bus ride) to the white villages of Pampaneira, Bubión and Capileira.
Venture further to Trevélez and the ‘Gerald Brenan’ village of Yegen. A joyous journey whichever route you take.

Lanjarón
The town, famous for its mineral water, is a 12-minute drive by car (or bus). Visit the renowned mineral water spa, ruins of a Moorish castle – plus the water and honey museums.
Fill up at one of the many fountains along the streets and in plazas.

Beaches
In little over 35 minutes you could be swimming in the Mediterranean Sea at Salobreña with its seafood restaurants.
La Herradura, Almuñécar (castle, aqueduct and Phoenician fish salting factory) and Nerja (famous for its caves) are a little further on.

Granada
The magical city of Granada, famous for the Alhambra Palace, is a must for any holiday. Easy to get to by bus or car (50 minutes), we can share our favourite places to visit, eat and drink.
We can tell you about the best tapas bars and suggested routes around the city.

Málaga, Córdoba and more
Head further afield to Córdoba and the magnificent Mezquita or Málaga for the castle of Gibralfaro, the Alcazaba and Picasso museum.
Venture east to Almería, the Tabernas Desert and Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park – a two hours’ drive away.
